Commercial farm, specialising in irrigated horticulture, principally bananas, as well as dryland pineapples and beef.
AgDevCo's investment is being used to develop a 660 ML dam on the existing estate to secure water for 100 ha of irrigated land. The investment is also funding capital expenditure required for in-field irrigation, which is enabling the scale-up of the farm’s banana and horticulture production. AgDevCo recognises Sasumua as a major employer in the region and continues to support its plans to expand the business and develop outgrower production as part of its business strategy.
