AgDevCo Ventures is a new investment vehicle established to back early-stage agribusinesses in East Africa with the potential to grow, scale and deliver meaningful impact. It is discrete from but complements AgDevCo's core offering by taking on higher risk at smaller ticket sizes — reaching businesses that are too early-stage for mainstream impact investors but are ready to grow with the right partner. AgDevCo Ventures is initially focused on 5 countries in East Africa, targeting businesses across the full agricultural value chain that can demonstrate positive impact for smallholder farmers, employees and rural communities.
We work closely with domestic and international funders, and with strategic partners (e.g. non-governmental organisations) who help us achieve our investment objectives.
