Kim Kamarebe is the Managing Director of Inua Capital, a licensed and regulated impact investment fund manager in Uganda that invests commercial capital with an ESG and GDEI lens. Inua Capital invests patient and flexible risk capital into high-potential and dynamic Ugandan SMEs across all sectors, with the explicit intention of creating decent jobs, improving social welfare and driving sustainable economic development. Kim is also a Partner at Damascus Advisory, a leading financial investment and strategic advisory firm that is a trusted adviser to leading East African SMEs and corporates across all industries. Prior to this, Kim was the Country Director of AgDevCo (Uganda), Africa’s largest agricultural impact investor. Kim first moved to Uganda in 2011 as the Director in charge of East African Investments for TLG Capital, focused on managing, among others, its investment in Cipla Quality Chemical Industries which it helped grow from inception to a large corporate listed on the USE. Prior to that, Kim worked with Goldman Sachs in London and New York. She holds a BS Financial Engineering Degree from Princeton University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
