Maurice Nduranu

Board Member

Maurice Nduranu is a seasoned board leader with over three decades of cumulative board experience in the East African region. In addition to his current service as a board member of the Institute of Directors Kenya, Maurice is or has been a director of companies in financial services (CPF Group Ltd. & CPF Capital & Advisory Rwanda Ltd.), energy (Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC & Eveready East Africa PLC), education finance (Chancen International Rwanda) and other sectors, including agri-business. He is recognized for his contributions in strategy, investment oversight, and governance and has been thrice honored in the Champions of Governance Awards as a runner-up in the Chairman of the Year category (2023-2025). 

Maurice’s career spans public infrastructure finance, asset management, transaction advisory, and impact / venture investing, with leadership roles at Acumen, African Alliance, and the U.S. based Development Planning & Financing Group. He holds a Master of Financial Engineering from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration (Finance, Real Estate & Law) from the California State Polytechnic University at Pomona.
